PhD Roundtable Discussion is held monthly
PhD Roundtable Discussion is held monthly, where one student presents their work and others comment and ask questions. For this event, we allow different levels of participation (Wenger, McDermott & Synder, 2002), by which we have core members, active members and occasionally guests depending on the topic. After the discussion, we sometimes have lunch together in the students' union restaurant. At lunch, we often continued our talk on research or something else that is more interesting, for example, food and travelling. During one conversation, for which I could not remember the content, I was still thinking about my own research and started drawing a mental map of the framework. Although the map was abandoned at last, it did help me develop the final framework. I was very excited then.
